Surely if someone were to ask you about Barcelona or Madrid, or places such as Doñana or the Pyrenees, you would answer that you know them. These Spanish cities and sites are famous the world over for various reasons: culture, art and nature.

We challenge you to get to know Spain’s other cities and interesting locations in this section. The Spanish Peninsula’s privileged geographical location in southwest Europe and its history of different cultures conquering one another - even coexisting together - has contributed to making Spain a country diversely rich in its landscapes and cities, stamping on each their own unique characteristics.

Beach cities and mountain cities seem to always be near interesting or secret places that are amazing for the traveler to discover. A native might also entice the imagination by telling the city’s history or the story behind a monument or perhaps enchant with century-old legends. We want to show you the great cathedrals, golden beaches, green forests, desert-like places and all the other spots that make Spain a country of contrasts!
