In the month of June, the don Quijote organization celebrates 20 successful years since the opening of its first school. The youthful illusion of that first day is continuously renewed every Monday with the arrival of new students and that of return students who are looking to repeat their experience with us again.

Salamanca, Ciudad del Español, is a medium sized city of immense cultural offerings, internationally renowned as a university city and the chosen city to set the stage for the don Quijote dream due to its ideally location only 2 hours from Madrid. As the name of don Quijote Salamanca began to be referred by word-of-mouth, its popularity and the number of students began to grow progressively as well.

What has been the secret in the success maintained for the past twenty years? It all consists on allowing the students to "live Spanish", just as it is stated on the company's slogan: "Vive el español". Through a more personalized approach, reduced classroom groups, constant evaluation of the learning progress, careful selection of accommodation, cultural activities offered and other details; everything is arranged so that the student feels he or she is really living the language. The aim is to make the student feel at home, in a city and country that very likely is a new and unknown place. This is when a Spanish course becomes a life experience and an experience for life!
