Syndication is the way in which websites publish their news and sometimes some contents in a way that is easily readable for computer applications.

What is this important for? Well, as this is getting more and more usual, a new kind of software (or service) has emerged, called news aggregators.

With news aggregators, you can select a set of 'syndicated sites' and get all the news or articles that they publish in a view. You can find a lot of news aggregators in the web, and some web portals include one as a service for your personal page (for example, Yahoo! has one and it lets you personalize the news that you want to view when you log in by selecting the sites you want to view).
