The most famous Prize for Literature in Spanish Language known as Premio Cervantes takes its name from Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, author of what is considered the greatest work of Spanish literature, Don Quixote de la Mancha. It is a very desirable award given that it is considered the highest literary award in the Castilian language.
