Lake Atitlan is without doubt the most famous Guatemalan natural park with is fabulous setting nestled among the volcanoes and it attracts hundreds of tourists each year. Many of the volcanoes themselves are natural parks, for example the continuously erupting Pacaya in the south of Guatemala is incredibly popular with tourists too, and is definitely a unique experience for many!
Tikal National Park is the most popular national park in Guatemala. With its incredibly well-preserved Mayan ruins, and its proximity to the beautiful town of Flores is it easy to see why. Surrounded by a nature reserve, a visit to Tikal is unforgettable as monkeys and macaws accompany travelers from road to city.
