French Toast with Honey

French toast with honey



Cut the bread into 2cm wide slices. Soak them in the hot milk with the sugar and lemon rind. Leave them to rest for a few minutes so that they soak it up. Melt the honey in the water and heat for five minutes so that they make syrup. Heat the oil in a large pan, soak the slices of bread in the beaten eggs, and lightly fry until they turn golden brown. Add them to the syrup. Place them on a serving dish, dust them with cinnamon and cover them with the remaining syrup.
