Fruit compote



Wash all the dried fruit and soak it for an hour. Then take the apples and pears and peel them, cut them half and take out the cores. Start to cook the pears with the wine and half the amount of the sugar; do the same with the apples in a different pan add water, the rest of the sugar and the dried fruits. Cook both on a low heat for 10 minutes regularly checking the fruit has cooked. If the sauce turns out to be runny it can be cooked separately without the fruit so it thickens. When serving equally serve the server the fruit and serve warm or cold.
