Hornazos de pascua



Dilute the salt and the baking powder in water and start to add the flour gradually until it becomes thick dough. Then add the oil bit by bit until the dough becomes smooth, soft and well kneaded. Next make circular shapes with the dough the size of plates with at least a centimetre of thickness. In the centre of the hornazo place a layer of almonds, previously crushed and fried with some cinnamon and then brush them with egg and then place on top another layer of almonds and do the same for the rest of the hornazos. Sprinkle them well with sugar and put them into the oven on a medium heat and let them cook for 45 minutes until they brown.
