The days of the week and months of the year are not capitalised in Spain, except when when it forms part of a noun example: 12 October Hospital.

The date in spanish goes in the order of smallest to largest, it is said as: day month year:
The date can also be written just in numbers: 20/03/1971.
In some cases, especially on hand-written texts, the month may be written in Roman numerals and seperated by dashes: 20-III-71
