XIV Encuentros Flamencos in Granada (Until December 9)
The fourteenth Encuentros Flamencos in Granada , which will take place in the Isabel La Católica theatre and the Manuel de Falla Concert Hall from 3rd-9th December, will begin with the show “Herencia” performed by La Farruca and El Carpeta (day 3) and will continue with “Savia Nueva” performed by Karime Amaya, Iván Vargas and Alba Heredia (day 4). On 5th and 6th December, there will be dance performances from Farruquito and Juan Andrés Maya, the director of these Encuentros Flamencos, in the show entitled “Improvisao”. The Encuentros will end with “Íntimo”, a performance by flamenco singer Miguel Poveda on 7th December in the Manuel de Falla Concert Hall, and with “Un viaje por el cante”, the latest record of flamenco singer Argentina, who was nominated for Best Flamenco Album in the Latin Grammy Awards and Revelación de la Crítica Nacional awards.
ANIMALADA (Until December 14)
Between 11th and 14th December, “Animalada” will be held, the first Animation Festival in Seville which will offer visitors the chance to attend conferences and workshops and to see animation projections used in cinema, television, video games and advertising over a period of four days. The festival will open its doors to the public at 19.00 on Wednesday 11th December in the Centro de las Artes de Sevilla (CAS).
VIII feSt (Until January 28)
The eighth edition of the International Festival of Theatre and Scenic Arts of Seville (feSt, in Spanish) will be held between 18th December 2013 and 28th January 2014, showing 57 performances from 23 companies, in locations such as the TNT Center, Sala Cero Teatro, Teatro Duque-La Imperdible y La Fundicion and the Lope de Vega Theater.
The enduring Andalusian rock group, Medina Azahara, will perform in a concert in the El Tren room in Granada on 21st December in which they will cover all the topics of their latest album:”La Memoria Perdida” and, of course, they will perform all their other big hits too.
