This futuristic building has become the emblem of Valencia. Designed by the local architect Santiago Calatrava, it hosts an opera house, planetarium, botanical garden and Europe´s biggest marine park. It is devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination. La Lonja de la Seda

This splendid building built in the 15th century is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Originally Valencia’s silk and commodity exchange, it is one of Spain's finest examples of a civil Gothic building.

Parque Natural de la Albufera
Lying to the south of the city of Valencia, the Albufera freshwater lagoon is one of the most important nature areas in the Land of Valencia. The natural life of the lake coexists in harmony with traces of agricultural, fishing and culinary traditions and unique way of life as represented by the local barraca houses.

L'Oceanogràfic

Spain's most famous aquarium is housed within the City of Arts & Sciences. An impressive park where you will be able to view beautiful tanks full of life and species from the Mediterranean, Red Sea and tropical waters. The sharks are a favorite, and so are the dolphins and a beluga whale.

Museo Fallero 

The world-famous Fallas Fiestas take place mid-March. Fireworks, music, festive bonfires and all-night partying – is a must if you’re visiting Spain during that period. The Fallas themselves are huge sculptures of papier mâché on wood built by local artists. If you cannot come to Valencia during the Fallas period, we recommend you visit the museum dedicated to them.

The Cathedral and the Giralda

Seville´s enormous Cathedral is breathtaking in its scale and history and is considered the world’s largest Gothic Cathedral. Highlights include the Giralda, an impressive bell tower, the tomb of Christopher Columbus, and the Capilla Mayor with an astounding altarpiece.

Plaza de España

The Plaza de España is one of the most visited places in Seville. Located within the Park of María Luisa, it was build for the Ibero-American exhibition of 1929. It surprises with its style as grand and as inviting. A favorite of many tourist. Hire a row boat to explore its canals

Parque de María Luisa - María Luisa Park 

Maria Luisa Park has been a haven of peace, a beautiful oasis of green, for more than 100 years. A walk through its gardens is a relaxing voyage. Escape the noise of the city, go for a run before class or sleep a siesta in the shade of a tree after class. 

 

Triana Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Triana stands out for its vitality and its vibrancy. If Seville is cheerful, Triana is even more so! Its locales, its shops, its bars ...life is buzzing in every corner. Put on your dancing shoes and stomp through its streets to the rhythm of a flamenco guitar. 

Archivo de Indias

The General Archive of the Indias shows how important Seville has been during the history of Spain: a rich capital and a bridge between two worlds. The archive was established in 1785 to house documents and maps relating to Spain's American empire and  has over 43,000 documents. A true wonder.
